Chessington World of Adventures Resort, a theme park, zoo, and hotel complex is located approximately 12 miles(19 km) southwest of Central London. The Tussauds Group created the theme park, which alongside the zoo and opened it on 7 July 1987 as one of the first themed amusement parks in Britain, was one of the first be built on the property when it debuted as Chessington Zoo in 1931. Under the leadership of Merlin, Chessington has evolved into a resort tourist attraction with two on-site hotels, a high ropes course, and a campground.

The Resort crew is committed to ensure the recycling of garbage to the maximum.
